Derrick Henry SOLIDIFied his hall of fame Career in the TITANS’ win over the Panthers

Tennessee Titans RB Derrick Henry has been the anchor of the respective franchise and the posterboy of running backs for some time now. The former high school football legend led the Titans to a 17-10 victory over the Carolina Panthers today and solidified his case to be the next running back in Canton...

Henry's numbers today were pedestrian, for his standards. The King rushed for 76 yards on 18 carries and found paydirt twice. With these numbers, Henry became the 39th player in NFL history to rush for 9,000 yards. Derrick also became the eighth player in NFL history to rush for 9,000 yards and score 80 rushing touchdowns before turning 30, joining the likes of Barry Sanders, Emmitt Smith, and Jim Brown. Most importantly, the Titans snapped their three-game skid and found a way to capture a victory at home!

Running back is a dying position in the NFL, as teams are now living through the aerial attack. Despite this, Derrick Henry continues to feast on opposing defenses no matter the year. Though his numbers are down from previous years, Derrick can still be an effective playmaker for Tennessee when given proper blocking. No running back in today's NFL, and very few in league history, would find success behind this Titans' O-Line. But somehow, the King is still on pace for over 1,000 rushing yards and 10 TDs. His Hall of Fame resume is complete, and there's still a lot left in El Tractorcito's tank...
